What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an emerging model of primary care that replaces the fee-for-service model dictated by insurance. You pay a simple, affordable, and flat membership fee that covers many primary care services and gives you direct access to your doctor. By cutting out administrative paperwork for third-party billers, we have more time to spend with you focusing on your needs. Learn more about DPC here.

What makes us unique?

We believe that nutrition is an important part of primary care.  This starts from day one of life: we offer newborn and lactation support for the first weeks of life.  Additionally, we offer cooking classes with a focus on food as medicine that can help improve the health of our patients with chronic health conditions. We also offer many community and group classes to support holistic health.

Why is East Bay Health a Non-Profit?

We believe that good primary care should be accessible to all regardless of socioeconomic status or income. Thus, we also offer free memberships to uninsured/low-income individuals so that we make DPC and its unique perks accessible to a population that normally does not have access to them.
